The Mountain Goats "Zopilote Machine"

I need to clear my mind. And the perfect album to do it would have to be the bare acoustics and vocals of John Darnielle on Zopilote Machine. The Mountain Goats have faster stuff. And they have stuff with a full band, but this album is just easier to listen to right now.



This is really early stuff of theirs too. Like '94. I don't want to talk about it anymore. Just listen to it. And if you download it, you can tell people that you have a totally unpopular album by the mountain goats. and that will make you hip. Listen to the lyrics. They're fantastic.

The song I like best on this album would have to be "Quetzalcoatl is Born" or "Grendel's Mother".
