After Cap'n Jazz, there was American Football. Mike Kinsella fronts their first and only, incredibly influential emo/math album. Absolutely a favorite of mine since high school and will probably catch your fancy if floaty indie/emo is your thing at all. Heavy emphasis on instrumentals (in a very good way).
