Stax house band known for recording with some of the greatest R&B and soul acts of all time including Otis Redding, Sam & Dave and Wilson Pickett. Steve Cropper on guitar, Lewie Steinberg on double bass, Al Jackson, Jr. on the drums and Booker T. Jones on the organ. One of the most powerful backing bands in the history of music I would say. This is a classic instrumental album that you pretty much need to have if you want your music collection to worth anything. "Green Onions" has been my ringtone for about six months now I'd say. You know what's up here, when you hear that organ you'll know exactly what to do.
